Fisker Karma
In today’s eco-obsessed world, purveyors of billion-horsepower super cars run the risk being reincarnated as dung beetles. It has the looks and performance of a super car, but the soul of a smart car.
The plug-in hybrid will give you about 50 mile of emission-free driving charge of its lithium-ion-battery, still hit 60mph in under six seconds and surge on to a face-flipping 125 mph.
Solar panels set into the roof provide extra power for the interior electrics.
Dell Crystal
As we peer into crystal ball we predict you’ll express disbelief that a monitor has made it into the top categories of gadgets. The 22in tripod-mounted slim line panel is set in tempered glass with integrated speakers that sit within it, and touch-sensitive buttons on the surround.
The speakers are finished with chrome and their cables are concealed as part of the design. The normal nest of wires is also avoided with a single cord holding DVI, HDMI, subwoofer-out, USB and power with a splitter at the end.
We predict that you’ll like this one. A lot.
Garmin navifone
What are the chances of a well-respected technology firm suddenly launching a mobile? There’s literally no precedent for it. Oh…wait there is. The iPhone. But while Apple’s blower was widely rumored, Garmin’s navifone came straight out of left field.
While Nokia has dipped its toe into the sea of sat-nav and the iPhone has basic mapping and location features, navifone promises to deliver a phone with truly integrated sat-nav smart. The specs are quite speculative at the moment, but Garmins predict the iPhone sized phone with its 3.5in touch screen will have HSDPA, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth A2DP.
It’ll run a version of Garmin propriety sat-nav operating system.

Philips HTS 9800W
But the speakers are ugly…they’re too heavy for the walls…and there isn’t enough room…Cut the excuses and invest in the slick system.
Its flat-panel speakers will look great on your wall and, not only do you get an extra centre back channel for 6.1 surround, all the rear speakers are wireless, too- so you won’t have to worry about lifting carpet or damaging your skirting boards. Tapping things off are the system stylish main unit, HDMI connectivity and, of course blistering picture quality.
Killer Feature: Sleek design means you can keep your living room neat
Logitech Harmony One
Logitech liked Harmony’s universal remotes so much it bought the company.
A few generations later Logitech has ironed out some of the problems, lowered the prices and found some stylish flair- the result is the One.
Connect to the PC and the hard work is done through Logitech’s Software, which takes you through set-up and access an online database to find your model of TV, DVD player, etc, and assign the correct IR commands.
Hard keys and touch screen combine to perfection that there’s even a charging dock.
Killer Feature: Simple control of all the devices, at a price that doesn’t hurt
Fuji film Z100fd
The Z100fd might look like a piece of lens-toting eye candy, but there’s plenty of meat on this stick-thin beauty- it’s just densely packed.
Once you have got past the thriller of the diagonally sliding lens cover and the backlit ‘Z’ on the front, you’ll marvel at the quality of the 8MP photos, wonder at the ruthless efficiency of the optical image stabilizer, and smile in the admiration that Fuji film managed to cramp a 5x optical zoom into a body that is just 20mm think.
Some functions could be more accessible, but that’s just nitpicking.
Killer Feature: super-stylish body housing a ton if tech
H20 Audio series Waterproof Head phones and IN3 Waterproof case
The combo makes your 3G Nano waterproof to a dept of 3m. The plastic case is extremely well sealed, comes with a clip and armband and allows you to access any function easily and quickly.
We don’t however like the headphones: they’re less comfortable than having pinecones twisted into your ears and sound terrible. Fortunately the case is compatible with standard 3.5mm headphones, but then it becomes merely water resistant as opposed to waterproof.
Tech: 100×70x25, 98g
Olympus mju 1030 SW
More than just a camera with a few water tight seals, the 1030 is built to withstand tortues that would make James Bond grass up Q and denounce the Queen. It’s crush-proof, freeze-proof, and, of course waterproof, to 10m. it takes lovely photos both in and out of the wet stuff- as long as it stays below ISP 800 – and even looks nice.
Tech: 10.1MP, 3.6x zoom, 2.7 in LCD, xD slot, 93×61x21mm,173g
