NU WTW 154 Wireless TV
Nu’s pricey Wireless TV is- you got it- wireless. Plug your aerial cable and analogue video source into its tuner box and it’ll WiFi MP2 video towards the 15.4 in screen.
In test the range topped out at about 20m, while the picture suffers digital artifacts and lack of edge definition, but it does play for 2.5 hours on a charge.
Don’t drop it in pool, mind- water pistols are fine, but submersion will swiftly kill it.
Tech: 1280×800, 15.4 in screen, Composite, Video and analogue aerial input, 480×265x65mm, 4.8kg
P9522 from Sagem
Porsche Design have help Sagem come up with their latest handset, the P9522. The handset will retail for $875 when released next month. This phoen doesn’t come with all the features you’d expect though.
Unfortunately you won’t find any 3G capabilities in this handset but you will find a 5 megapixel camera, GPS, Wlan, 2.8 inch display as well as a fingerprint reader. Memory can be expanded via MicroSD.
Lojo Ball
A massive wall mounted telly and ear splitting hi-fi is a start, but if you have still got that moth-eaten sofa from your students days, your lounge won’t cut sit on use it as a pouffe, while unzipping it turns it into a comfy beanbag alternative- and it comes in a range of styles.
Sony PSP Slim & Lite
Thanks to the recent influx of the best handheld games ever, the PSP is finally getting the software to back up its blistering hardware.
Yep. The smallest of all Play station should be glued to your hands- at least until the next great Nintendo DS games comes round.
Apple iMac
The original iMac was supposed to be a ‘my first PC’.
Now it’s everything you need in a single, beautiful crafted aluminum and glass box. The latest has up to 24in of full HD screen 2 Duo processors and more multimedia software than you will ever have time to use.
iRiver L Player 4GB
iRiver likes to tease the UK with a raft of far East-only super-device, tantalizing us with images like paparazzo flogging snaps of Amy Wine house.
When we saw the L Player a few months back we just assumed it was another tease we’d never get our hands on. Not so. Fronted by the same navigation system s Clix 2, the L player crams in support for almost every audio format as well as FM tuner, audio recorder, Flash support and up to 8 GB of memory.
Belkin Go Studio
We’re fans of the Belkin Tune Studio at Stuff tower- it’s a nifty machine for bands and pod casters who want a cheap recording option, but it’s hardly portable.
For roving reporters’ types and musos with minstrel tendencies, the new Go Studio looks like a better option. The two channels handled audio recorder splits audio straight onto your iPod, has inputs for two microphones and two built-in stereo microphones to boot.
Except to see full details in Hot Stuff soon.
Orb Audio speakers
Ambient knob-twiddlers The Orb might be brilliant at taking listeners on adventures beyond the ultra world but they’ve not yet branched out into their own brand of audio electronics. No, theses Orb speakers are made by professionals in the good old USA of A.
Orb’s home theatre system use five, six or seven of its spherical satellite coupled with a Super eight subwoofer, or you can buy the satellites separately. It claims that the shape of the speakers matches the acoustics of bulky cabinets. Perfect for reliving your clubbing days by rediscovering Blue Room.
Spada Codatrnca TS
In Disney’s Cars, the motors have their own personality, social lives and, we assume, offspring. In which case the retro-futuristic Codatronca must be the spawn of a 1963 split-window Corvette and Tim Burton’s version of the Bat mobile.
With just over 630bhp from a normally aspirated V8, plus Sparco seats, Oz racing alloy and a converter kit for E85 green fuel, both parents must feel proud.
